Testimonials

Support from therapists like you

You deliver invaluable quality care to your clients; our goal is to ensure we do the same for our network of therapists.

I've been with Inkblot Therapy for over a year and highly recommend it. If you're thinking about dipping your toe in private practice, they make it very user-friendly for therapists to connect with clients, store notes, and handle the billing. Best of all worlds!

As a counsellor working with Inkblot from its early days, I am proud to offer clients this quality of convenience and service. They regularly tell me how much more relaxing it is for them to receive professional service, with flexible hours and measurable outcomes, from the comfort and safety of their own homes.

I feel supported in my work on this platform as the staff are only a couple of minutes away, ready to assist with any technical issues that might arise.

The IT support Inkblot offers is excellent. We can reach out anytime during a session for immediate support if we are experiencing technical problems. That is a great comfort to me as a clinician as I can focus on the healing.

Inkblot provides an affordable and accessible option for mental health support to clients and makes things easy for the clinician as well. I appreciate the ease and function of Inkblot's platform and that Inkblot takes care of the therapists who contract with them.

FAQs

How does practicing using Inkblot differ from practicing using Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)?

Providing your services via Inkblot is simple.

Inkblot offers workplace mental health resources and support to Canadian and US organizations. Contracts with these organizations vary, from promoting our services so that employees have easy access to our platform to match with their ideal care provider and use their benefits or paying out of pocket for sessions to complete EAP services where the employer may cover a number of sessions with an Inkblot practitioner.

Inkblot promotes continuity of care and does not cap the number of sessions clients can receive, ensuring that providers can support their clients through their counselling journey.

Practitioners are paid for video and in-person sessions, regardless of whether clients who need mental health support sign up with us directly or through their employer. Ideally, practitioners see all of their clients through to recovery.

Where do Inkblot’s clients come from?

Inkblot Therapy clients come from many sources. They come to our website directly via healthcare professional recommendations, word of mouth, or online search.

We also partner with organizations in Canada and the US to provide mental health services to their employees. These partnerships vary, with some organizations promoting our service so their employees can easily access help and use their benefits to cover sessions. Others may provide some free sessions and then encourage employees to use their benefits or pay out of pocket for further sessions with the same practitioner.

How does video counselling compare to face-to-face counselling?

Therapy is a personal experience, and one treatment approach can’t fit everyone’s needs. Some people may find a screen distracting and in-person communication comforting. In contrast, others may not notice or find it easier to express themselves with some separation from their counsellor. The comfort and convenience of connecting with a client from your home office are also unique to video counselling.

There are also important non-therapeutic benefits to our service, such as easy accessibility, lower overhead costs, and being matched with clients not located nearby but seeking your particular areas of specialization.
